Job Details

Cleveland Clinic in Beachwood, Ohio has openings for Diagnostic Medical Physicists responsible for clinical medical imaging, including evaluation, integration, and quality assurance. The position may include clinical research related to radiation dose optimization and image quality improvement. Duties include: acceptance testing for new equipment, and annual equipment evaluation testing to ensure regulatory requirements are met; performing radiation barrier surveys for stationary radiographic and fluoroscopic imaging equipment; and utilizing electronic test equipment and radiation measurement instrumentation. Up to 25% overnight travel may be required. At a minimum the position requires: Master of Science degree in Medical Physics, Biophysics, Physics or a related discipline; Board Certification in Diagnostic Medical Physics by the American Board of Radiology; and two (2) years of experience in the medical physics field. Experience to include: Acceptance testing, utilizing electronic test equipment for newly installed imaging equipment; annual equipment evaluation testing on mobile and stationary, radiographic and fluoroscopic imaging equipment to ensure regulatory compliance; and working with radiation measurement instrumentation and luminescent dosimeters to perform radiation barrier surveys for stationary radiographic and fluoroscopic imaging equipment.
