Indiana University Health Physicians has a great employment opportunity for a Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation physician or Psychiatrist to join our new Functional Restoration pain management program in Indianapolis, Indiana. This is an exciting new comprehensive multidisciplinary pain program that will be completely unique for this region. This physician will collaborate with multiple specialties including PT, OT, Psychiatry, Neurology, and Primary care. Our PM&R program is rapidly growing. This is a wonderful opportunity to be involved in our new initiative!

Opportunity Details:
  • Responsibilities include evaluation and medical management of adult patients with chronic pain conditions
  • Procedures include fluoro and ultrasound-based injections, steroid injections, RFA, trigger points, etc.
  • 100% outpatient
  • Academic setting with teaching opportunities
  • Full time Monday - Friday

Qualifications:
  • Board Certified in PM&R, FM or Psychiatry required
  • 1-2 years' experience required
  • acupuncture training and non-opioid pain management or opioid medication weaning preferred

Healthcare System/Hospital Description

The IU Health Neuroscience Center is a partnership between Indiana University Health and the Indiana University School of Medicine to bring the best in neurological care to patients. The IU Health Neuroscience Center combines the best doctors, most advanced treatments and latest research breakthroughs into one convenient facility located in the heart of downtown Indianapolis.

Phase I of the center, an ambulatory care and imaging facility, opened in August 2012. Here, patients see specialists and receive diagnostic imaging in a single visit. Phase II, an innovative research facility led by the IU School of Medicine, is scheduled to open in 2014, and will enable patients to have easier, faster access to clinical trials and breakthrough treatments.
