Northwell Health seeks nominations and applications for an exceptional clinician and leader for the role of Chair of Cardiology at Peconic Bay Medical Center.

Northwell seeks an exceptional clinician leader with proven skills and values to lead a highly successful clinical enterprise. The Chair of Cardiology at Peconic Bay Medical Center will create an excellent environment for training and development, while also supporting the strategic, academic, research, and teaching interests of the faculty and the Department. The Chair of Cardiology will work collaboratively with Clinical Care Management, residents and staff physicians, and with other hospital leadership and staff to assure the delivery of effective, efficient, quality patient care. This individual will have the opportunity to join an organization which leads with a distinct vision to transform healthcare while working alongside leaders who challenge the status quo to deliver exceptional results. The Chair will work collaboratively across Northwell’s System-wide Department of Cardiology to promote standardization across the network, high-quality and efficient care, and to promote the academic mission.

Peconic Bay Medical Center is a 200-bed medical center that offers a wide range of health care services from advanced surgical care and comprehensive inpatient medical care to a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center. The hospital also offers an extensive range of outpatient services that includes Peconic Bay Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Center and Peconic Bay Home Health Services, a certified home health agency, the Cancer Services Program of Suffolk County, and the Gertrude & Louis Feil Campus for Ambulatory Care. The campus is a clinical campus for the Peconic Bay Medical Center School of Radiologic Technology and the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, and hosts graduate medical education programs in Family Medicine and General Surgery.

The Chair reports to: 1) Lawrence Ong, MD, Vice President of Cardiology, Eastern Region, and Jeffrey Kuvin, MD, Sr. Vice President of Cardiology, Central and Eastern Regions, and  2) Jeff Zilberstein, MD, Medical Director, Peconic Bay Medical Center.  Northwell Health seeks a recognized cardiologist and leader with proven success in operations within a high-performing academic health enterprise. This leader will possess the skills to advance the clinical, academic strategic missions of Department.

Salary Disclosure

Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125K to $750K, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity. The base compensation range listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
