Baylor Scott & White Health System has recently begun a formal search for the next leader of Baylor Scott & White Research Institute (BSWRI). BSWRI is at the forefront of groundbreaking research, and manages a portfolio of nearly 2,000 sponsored and investigator-initiated bench, clinical, translational, and population health research projects across 50+ specialty areas. The next President of BSWRI will assume a crucial leadership position within BSWRI and our system. Based in Dallas, Texas, this position represents a rare and exciting opportunity for an executive with an outstanding track record in research leadership. 

Reporting into the EVP & Chief Medical Officer of Baylor Scott and White Health (BSWH), the SVP & President of Baylor Scott & White Research Institute (BSWRI) is accountable for all research throughout the health system. BSWRI is dedicated to research endeavors that will improve the health of the communities that we serve. This includes addressing chronic conditions as well as other programs (preventative, therapeutic, post-op recovery, palliative) that will benefit patients and caregivers.

Qualified candidates will have PhD or MD or other advanced degree equivalent. Candidates may come from any medical specialty, or research background with at least five years’ experience in scientific and business operation leadership. Candidates will be a recognized leader in a similar organization.
