The Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Weill Cornell Medicine and New York-Presbyterian is seeking an academically oriented board-certified/board eligible hematologist-oncologist to lead and develop the Hematologic Malignancies Program at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital (NYPBMH) . The applicant will join the Weill Cornell Medicine faculty working closely with leaders in academic medicine in lymphoma, myeloma and leukemia at the Weill Cornell Medical Center in Manhattan to bring our world class hematologic malignancies program to Brooklyn with an emphasis on clinical research in myeloma and lymphoma. Participation in research activities of the Meyer Cancer Center is required and will be supported.

NYPBMH is a 650-bed academic teaching program in Park Slope, Brooklyn with a full range of residencies and a hematology/medical oncology fellowship program. The successful candidate will practice in the institution's just opened 400,000 square foot outpatient building, the Center for Community Health, whose top floor is devoted to hematology and medical oncology. The center includes a 32 chair infusion center and a dedicated clinical trials space.

The ideal candidate will have experience in caring for patients with lymphoma, myeloma, leukemia and other blood disorders and with clinical trial enrollment. We seek a dedicated and energetic clinician, clinical researcher, teacher, with the desire to expand a busy hematology program in Brooklyn, population 2.6 million, New York's largest borough.

Located in Park Slope , one of the most popular neighborhoods in Brooklyn , known for its' ethnic diversity, excellent public and private schools, Prospect Park, the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens and trending restaurants and bars. The neighborhood attracts artists, professionals, singles and families, as well as visitors from all over NYC and around the world.
