Intermountain Healthcare invites applications and nominations for the position of Senior Medical Director, Imaging Services.

Intermountain Healthcare is an internationally-recognized, integrated not-for-profit healthcare system based in Salt Lake City, Utah. The largest healthcare provider in the Intermountain West, the system provides healthcare services to citizens in Utah, Nevada, and Idaho through its network of 24 hospitals (includes "virtual" hospital), an integrated medical group with more than 2,900 caregivers at approximately 215 clinics, affiliate networks, homecare, telehealth, health insurance plans, and other services, along with wholly owned subsidiaries including SelectHealth, Intermountain Nevada, and Saltzer Health.

Intermountain Healthcare offers a full spectrum of imaging services, serving as a Clinical Shared Service for Intermountain’s Clinical Programs. Approximately 130 physicians, 16 advanced practice providers, and 1,300 imaging caregivers provide imaging services at over 90 sites across the Intermountain Healthcare network. Intermountain is dedicated to offering patients cutting edge imaging technology to achieve accurate results for thorough diagnosis and treatment.

The Senior Medical Director is a system-wide leader with accountability for all Imaging Services for Intermountain Healthcare’s Clinical Shared Services. The Senior Medical Director shall model and champion the mission, vision, and values of Intermountain Healthcare through the clinical and operational opportunities within Imaging Services.

The Senior Medical Director will provide strategic direction, leadership, oversight, and support for operational and clinical needs relating to medical imaging in all clinical settings across Intermountain, driving efficient, high-quality patient care. The Senior Medical Director will be responsible for system-wide and regional collaborative associations with key stakeholders in Community-Based and Specialty-Based Care. The Senior Medical Director will also work collaboratively in a dyad partnership with the AVP of Imaging Services for the management of the administrative, financial, and clinical performance of Imaging Services. 

Working with key organizational leaders of Intermountain, the Senior Medical Director will align and lead Imaging Services in strategic performance and improvement initiatives to ensure the measured outcomes of the program meet the highest standards. The Senior Medical Director will be an outstanding leader and skilled physician, widely recognized in the field with a strong track record of program building and innovation. The new Senior Medical Director must be a respected leader who is operationally savvy, highly knowledgeable in leading a matrixed clinical enterprise, and visionary, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
