Baystate Health, western Massachusetts’ premier healthcare provider and home to the University of Massachusetts Medical School – Baystate, is seeking a Pediatric Infectious Disease Physician Leader to join Baystate Children’s Hospital.

We offer the emerging or experienced leader a unique opportunity to advance the academic mission of our Division of Pediatric ID in providing excellent patient care, teaching and scholarship.

Position Highlights:
• Provide operational, clinical, and academic leadership for our well-established division at Baystate Children’s Hospital in Springfield MA.
• Our 107-bed facility provides complete critical care programs, including the region’s only PICU and NICU, as well as pediatric inpatient services, child life specialists, a designated emergency room just for kids, and outpatient specialty services.
• Mix of clinical and administration. 50% inpatient coverage, one weekly clinic, and pediatric HIV and pediatric tuberculosis clinics. Our Antimicrobial Stewardship program includes a team of pediatric pharmacists and pharmacy residents and students.
• Enjoy a combination of clinical care and resident and medical student teaching with faculty appointment to the University of Massachusetts Medical School-Baystate.
• Participate in a model of shared telehealth coverage.
• Cultivate and facilitate innovative clinical and QI research.

• ABP board certification in pediatric infectious disease.
• 5+ years of experience post-training with evidence of progressive management responsibilities and emerging leadership in an academic department.
• A strong record of collaboration; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; enthusiasm for medical education and mentoring junior ID faculty; ability to engage a broad base of potential stakeholders to work towards a shared vision.
