Palliative Care Director, Huntington Hospital - Northwell Health

Northwell Health Department of Medicine seeks a Director of Palliative Care for Huntington Hospital. The ideal candidate should be a Board-Certified Palliative Care physician with at least three years post training and have an interest in the clinical and administrative oversight of the geriatric and palliative medicine program. This role will work closely with an interdisciplinary team including a social worker, nurse practitioner, and physical therapist support to provide comprehensive care to patients with advancing illness. The Physician will work with consultants and staff to manage pain, symptoms, address goals of care and treatment plans, and to provide guidance and education to patients and families.

Established in 1916, Huntington Hospital is a full-service, 408-bed, nonprofit community hospital serving Huntington Township and surrounding communities. The center will work within the hospital to help families with ongoing care after discharge.
