As we expand our neurological health services across the Northwell Health System, the Department of Neurology is seeking dynamic board certified neurologist or radiologist with subspecialty training in  Neuro-Endovascular Surgery to join our rapidly growing Neuroscience Center. South Shore is a Joint Commission Thrombectomy capable designation as of 2021. CAST certification or eligibility preferred. Opportunities are currently available in Long Island, NY. South Shore University Hospital is a vital member of the South Shore community, only a few minutes from the beautiful shores of Long Island.

Ideal candidates will have a desire to build, manage, and grow our designated Endovascular Program and see patients at our South Shore University Hospital campus. Our collegial and collaborative team includes neurosurgery, neuro-hospitalists, neuro intensivists, and is supported by midlevel providers who all work together to provide patient centered care. Opportunities are available for research through our state-of-the-art Feinstein Institute for Medical Research and teaching opportunities are also available through the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. The Neurology Service Line led by Dr. Souhel Najjar, a world-renowned physician, internationally recognized for his clinical, research, and teaching expertise, having dedicated his career to the diagnosis and treatment of epilepsy, neuro-inflammation related neuropsychiatric disorders, and autoimmune disorders of central nervous system.

The Department of Neurology has seen tremendous growth over the past five years within Long Island, New York City and Westchester; with the goal of providing comprehensive, integrated health care and wellness services. Despite the challenges associated with the pandemic, the Neurology Program has grown from 22 physicians in 2016 to 73 physicians as of 2021. The Department of Neurology brings together the vast resources of Northwell Health and the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell to provide state-of-the-art care while contributing to advances in technology, education and research.

Salary Disclosure

Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125K to $750K, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity. The base compensation range listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
