Cleveland Clinic, one of the world's most distinguished academic medical centers and ranked by U.S. News & World Report announces a search for the Chair of Family Medicine. The Chair would oversee active programs in complex care, care-path design, outreach, and in particular development of Population Management Care Models in addition to a large general practice.

Primary responsibility will be to maximize the clinical, educational, and research potential of our Family Medicine physicians, including, a focus on clinical excellence, process improvement, faculty professional development, practice growth, patient and provider satisfaction, community engagement, patient centered medical home accreditation, and the integration of teaching, research and scholarship within a clinical practice setting. A faculty appointment at a rank commensurate with experience is available at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. This leader will administratively report to the Associate Chief of Clinical Operations of Cleveland Clinic Community Care.

The department scope includes 120 physicians and 56 advanced practice providers, who provide over 550,000 visits yearly to 179,000 unique patients in over 30 practice locations. Urgent Care, Express Care, and Express Care Online also report to the Chair of Family Medicine.

The Cleveland Clinic Family Medicine Residency Program has a 40+ year history of training many of the Family Medicine physicians practicing in NE Ohio. Our residents excel in the vigorous and supportive learning environment of our 6-6-6 program which is growing to an 8-8-8 program.

Applicants should have an excellent record of clinical experience, teaching and scholarship with experience in leadership, administrative skills, mentoring of faculty, residents and medical students and program development. The successful candidate will be a proven leader with experience working within a clinically integrated network and a demonstrated ability to engage multidisciplinary teams. Board Certification and eligibility for licensure in the State of Ohio is required.
