The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) is seeking a full-time Board Certified or Board Eligible Academic Faculty, Endocrinologist for our League City campus. 

The University of Texas Medical Branch - UTMB Health is a multibillion-dollar health science center comprised of four schools, three institutes, and over ten exceptional research centers. UTMB was the first academic health center in Texas and is home to the state’s first schools of medicine, nursing, and allied health sciences. For 125 years, the university has maintained a forward-thinking spirit serving its students, its patients, and the people of Texas.

UTMB’s Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Endocrinology - At UTMB, the Division of Endocrinology provides both inpatient and outpatient referral-based clinical care in all areas of Endocrinology. Our outpatient services are located in Galveston, League City, Friendswood, and Angleton, providing easy access for patients residing in Galveston County and the South Houston metropolitan area. The Stark Diabetes Center is located in our League City clinics and provides integrative patient care working closely with a variety of medical and surgical specialties involved in prevention of diabetes and its complications. Our faculty includes basic science researchers, clinician scientists, and full-time clinicians dedicated to both patient care and teaching.

Endocrinologist Faculty Opportunity – The successful candidate should expect to perform nine half-days of outpatient clinics, to participate in weekend rotation for inpatient consults, and to be an instructor/mentor for medical students, Internal Medicine Residents, and Endocrinology Fellows. Clinical practice experience is preferred but not mandatory as new Fellows are encouraged to apply. All candidates must posses an MD degree or equivalent, completed an accredited ACGME Internal Medicine Residency program, be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, and have the ability to obtain an unrestricted state of Texas Medical license. 

Income Package:  A negotiable starting salary is based upon academic rank, experience, and educational background. UTMB also offers a superior benefits package, an excellent retirement program and a relocation allowance.
