Tenure-Track Faculty Positions in the Division of Geriatrics and Palliative Care at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine

The Division of Geriatric Medicine and Palliative Care at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine is seeking investigators at the level of Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor. This is an exciting opportunity to join a nationally-recognized division (ranked #10 in Geriatrics in US News & World Report) and contribute to continued growth of the Division’s Freedman Research Center on Aging, Technology, and Cognitive Health (CATCH), which currently boasts over a $12,000,000 research portfolio. Qualified candidates must have an MD or PhD degree and a strong research track record with a focus on aging. For physician candidates, board certification or eligibility in geriatrics and/or palliative care is preferred.

Examples of areas of research focus for which strong collaborative opportunities exist include:

  • Alzheimer’s disease and Cognitive Dysfunctions
  • Health Disparities
  • Health Services Models of Care

Associate or Full Professor candidates must have an established track record of extramurally-funded, innovative research; Assistant Professor Candidates must have a strong background in training with a high likelihood of success in developing an independent, extramurally-funded research program. Additionally, investigators will have access to multiple departments and well-established community organizations throughout the NYC metropolitan area.

New faculty members will be supported with generous start-up packages, and a wide range of state-of-the-art core facilities providing services in genomics, proteomics, bioinformatics, cell imaging, flow cytometry, and pathology across a unique health system spanning private, public, and government-funded hospital settings.
