Responsibilities
Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) GS-636-07
Duties:
*Provide individual and group occupational therapy services to Soldiers to promote performance optimization, and prevention, risk mitigation, and rehabilitation of acute and chronic disorders
*Administer standardized assessments and screenings to individual Soldiers and unit
*Develop and implement comprehensive, goal-oriented treatment and performance plans for Soldiers, evaluating progress and modifying as necessary
*Utilize therapeutic modalities, such as air and water, therapeutic exercise, functional therapy, and manual therapy
*Serve as a member of an interdisciplinary team that assesses, plans, directs, coordinates, and updates individual and group interventions and programming
*Document all applicable medical information, including assessments, interventions, progress, training provided, and functional/occupational status
Qualifications
Qualification Requirements:
*You must be a U.S. citizen to qualify for this position and provide proof of U.S. Citizenship .
One year of specialized experience which includes implementing occupational therapy interventions and educating on occupational therapy programs or evaluating occupational therapy results or one full year of graduate-level education from an accredited college or university leading to such a degree in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Kinesiotherapy, Kinesiology, Sports Medicine, Exercise Science or related field of study or a combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.
Applicants must possess a current, active, valid, and unrestricted license as an Occupational Therapy Assistant from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
