Pediatric Hospitalist, Children's Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock

The Children's Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock (CHaD) and Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth seek a Pediatric Hospitalist to join the Section of Pediatric Hospital Medicine. The Section faculty serve as the primary admitting service for CHaD's acuity adaptable inpatient unit located at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC) in Lebanon, New Hampshire. DHMC is recognized by US News & World Report as the Best Hospital in NH and serves as the anchor campus for Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health, an academic health system serving populations across all of NH and wide regions in Vermont.

DHMC hosts CHaD, NH's only children's hospital, the Norris Cotton Cancer Center, the only comprehensive cancer center north of Boston recognized by the National Cancer Institute, The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice (TDI), and over 50 graduate medical education programs. Collaborative scholarship with TDI and the Cancer Center, which are jointly administered with the Geisel School of Medicine, is available for the interested candidate, along with opportunities across the Dartmouth College academic community.

The Section of Pediatric Hospital Medicine boasts strengths in education, quality improvement, and health services research. Candidates must demonstrate excellent clinical skills and a passion for teaching CHaD pediatric residents, Geisel medical students, and other inter-professional learners. Eligibility for academic appointment at Geisel is therefore required, along with board certification or board eligibility in General Pediatrics or Pediatric Hospital Medicine.

A leadership role in quality and safety is available to the experienced and qualified candidate, but applicants at any stage of their career will be considered. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with the successful candidate's portfolio.

CHaD provides a rare opportunity to combine high level academic pediatrics with a serene living environment. Lebanon is part of the Upper Connecticut River Valley, home to Dartmouth's abundant cultural and enrichment activities. With ski country, world class hiking, and beautiful rivers and lakes in our backyard and urban destinations like Boston, Montreal, and New York within driving distance, this the ideal place to work, grow, and play.

Cover letters should be addressed to:
