At our Lenox Health Greenwich Village (LHGV) Emergency Department, we have a need for an Emergency Medicine Chair interested in leading our fast-paced, always-on, emergency department into the future of better health. LHGV opened in July 2014 and was the first freestanding, full-service, round-the-clock Emergency Department in the New York metropolitan area. Patient care is provided by Northwell Health’s board-certified emergency medicine physicians and staff. As Emergency Medicine Chair, you’ll have complete operational and clinical oversight of the department. You’ll collaborate with our large service line leadership team in efforts such as recruiting, finance, business development, and more. You’ll also have the incredible opportunity to work with other healthcare professionals within Northwell Health’s network, helping you to gain a perspective that helps you and our emergency department better serve the communities that trust us as their healthcare leaders.

Our Emergency Department includes:

  • 911 Receiving site
  • 26 Single patient rooms
  • Bedside imaging equipment for rapid diagnosis
  • Bedside tablets for medical consults and communicating with loved ones
  • On-site lab and radiology facilities for rapid results
  • Emergency transport to the hospital, if necessary
  • Blood drawing services through our Patient Services Center
  • Full spectrum of radiology services in our outpatient imaging center
  • NYSAFE Center of Excellence
  • Streamlined transfer process for patients requiring tertiary level inpatient pediatric and psychiatric services

Lenox Health Greenwich Village, a division of Lenox Hill Hospital, is located on the west side of Lower Manhattan in New York City in an area that has an intimate appeal and tree-lined streets full of an eclectic mix of students, professionals, and visitors alike. Our full-service emergency department can handle any medical emergency that a traditional hospital-based ER might treat.

Salary Disclosure

Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125K to $750K, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity. The base compensation range listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
