Novant Health Palliative Care - Charlotte, NC is seeking fellowship trained Palliative Care physicians for our growing practice. The ideal candidate has experience in the acute care setting, is patient-focused and enjoys working in a fast-paced team-oriented environment. The preferred candidate will have an interest in leading a collaborative and positive team-based culture.

Job Summary

  • Presbyterian Medical Center team consists of a board-certified nurse navigator, licensed clinical social workers, and specialty trained experienced nurse practitioners
  • The physician will be working to provide hospice and palliative care as part of an established interdisciplinary team in a >500 bed hospital
  • Full time (Mon-Fri; 8-5), with back-up call responsibilities in rotation with physician partners (APPs serve as primary call)
  • Novant Health Medical Group Palliative Consultant assigned to a fast-paced tertiary hospital
  • Serve as hospice attending for 8-bed hospice unit (Harris Hospice Unit)

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of medicine required.

Experience: One to three years of experience working in an acute care setting required. Clinical experience in oncology, hospice, geriatrics, intensive care, or palliative care preferred
