Vascular Neurologist

Baystate Health, western Massachusetts’ premier healthcare provider and home to the University of Massachusetts Medical School – Baystate, is seeking a Vascular Neurology physician to join our organization in western Massachusetts.

Hospital Highlights:
• Teaching hospital for University of Massachusetts Medical School Baystate
• Support for teaching and clinical research
• Telestroke program to support four Baystate satellite locations
• 716-bed Hospital
• Level 1 Trauma Center
• Primary Stroke Center, with plans to apply for Comprehensive accreditation

Opportunity Highlights:
• Join established Stroke Team
• Report to Chairman, Dr. Edward Feldmann
• Faculty appointment with University of Massachusetts Medical School Baystate
• Current 24/7 Neurointerventional coverage
• Stroke Service is 1:5, weekly
• Provide 1:5 weekly daytime tele-stroke coverage, covered from your own home!
• Stroke APP support
• ~2000 stroke consults per year, with ~1300 being actual strokes
• Consult service as hospitalists serve as primary attending

Springfield, MA: Springfield is home to multiple universities such as Amherst College; Smith College; Mount Holyoke University; and University of Massachusetts Amherst. There are also many preparatory and private school options like Deerfield Academy; Wilbraham & Monson Academy; as well as Iqra Academy, an Islamic day school. Springfield is also home to the thriving suburbs of Amherst, Longmeadow, and Northampton, all of which provide endless restaurant options and cultural activities.
