HEART FAILURE, VAD AND TRANSPLANT ATTENDING CARDIOLOGIST -The Hartford Cardiovascular Institute and Hartford Hospital, a majoracademic/teaching affiliate of the University Of Connecticut School OfMedicine, seeks a Full Time Heart Failure, VAD and Transplant Cardiologist forits Center for Advanced Heart Failure and Pulmonary Vascular Disease. HartfordHospital is a 819-bed tertiary referral center with a full-service program incardiovascular diseases, 132 dedicated cardiac beds, a 30-bed CHF inpatient unitand an outpatient heart failure disease management clinic. The hospital has 3formally affiliated acute care referral hospitals as well as collaborativearrangements with 2 additional acute care hospitals. The Heart Failure programis vibrant and performs 10-20 heart transplants a year, has an active LVAD andmultidisciplinary ECMO program as well as pulmonary hypertension program. The successful candidate will be BE/BC in Advanced Heart Failure andTransplant, be skilled in heart failure/transplant clinical care, be able tocollaborate with private practice physicians, supervise trainees and becommitted to clinical research.
