NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi , located in the Bronx, accommodates more than 325,000 outpatient visits, more than 100,000 emergency room visits and more than 20,000 inpatient admissions annually. The hospital is renowned for The Trauma Center, staffed to treat any traumatic injury or illness, the fully accredited Breast Health Center, and The Burn Center, with more than 40 years of work in burn care. The hospital also serves patients of many other needs. The hospital maintains an academic affiliation with Albert Einstein Medical College of Yeshiva University.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervision of nurses, social workers, physician's assistants, students, and others participating in the care of patients
  • Completion of comprehensive assessments and treatment plans
  • Initiation of treatment for acute and chronic psychiatric and medical illnesses
  • Coordination of disposition planning in conjunction with social work and PA staff
  • Documentation of incidents in conjunction with other members of the treatment team
  • Distribution of work among physicians and other treatment team members


Qualifications:

** Hourly Ranges from $155-$180**
  • Eligible for medical licensure in the state of New York
  • ABPN eligible or certified
  • Ability to make sound and timely triage, treatment, and disposition decisions
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple disciplines in the evaluation and care of patients

Preferred Qualifications:
  • ABPN certified
  • Previous psychiatric ER or CPEP experience
