Director of Psychiatry

Gotham Health/Morrisania Health Clinic located in the Highbridge section of the South Bronx, one train stop from Yankee Stadium, is looking for a Director of Psychiatry to join their team.

Responsibilities:

The department consists of three psychiatrist, two with training in child psychiatry and 15 behavioral health Social Workers. The department services a community with a large and varied immigrant population. In addition to the care provided in the Behavioral Health service, the team is involved collaboratively in depression management programs in Adult and Pediatric Primary Care and Women's Health clinics.

The Director of Service plans, organizes, supervises, and manages the Providers with the department. He/She provides leadership for mental health, and other support services, clinical education program, and other health related services provided by the department within available resources and consistent with Health and Hospitals Corporation policy and priorities.

We are looking for a candidate interested in working with and leading this dynamic mental health

Qualifications:

• Graduation from an approved school of Psychiatry; completion of an approved residency; Board Certified or equivalent training or experience in the designated specialty.
  
• License to practice Psychiatry in New York State.
  
• Appropriate experience in the field of the specialty in a responsible clinical administrtive capacity.
  
• Completion of 3 years of approved residency training in psychiatry.
