We invite dynamic BE/BC Hematologist/Oncologists with a keen interest in teaching, clinical care, and clinical research to apply for clinician-educator track positions in the Hematology and Oncology Section at the Central Virginia VA Health Care System (CVHCS)/ McGuire Cancer Center, and Virginia Commonwealth University/ Massey Cancer Center in Richmond, VA.  

The section is multifaceted and includes multiple physician-scientists and clinician-investigators/educators. The McGuire Cancer Center (MCC) is a hub site for the flagship Lung Cancer Precision Oncology Program (LPOP), a coordinating site for VA-Radiation Oncology Collaborative (VA-ROC) Network (GU and other malignancies), as well as a site of Colorectal Cancer (CRC) Cell-Genomics Consortium (VA4C). MCC also houses state-of-the-art research core facilities, including Flow Cytometry, NGS, Mass Spec, and dedicated Radiology Core and AI radiomics. The successful candidate will also be an integral part of the Massey Cancer Center (VCU, NCI-CC). 

Preference will be given to those with an interest in Genitourinary or Gastrointestinal malignancies. However, those with a primary interest in thoracic malignancies will also be considered, given the center's flagship LPOP program. The primary duties include patient care, research, and teaching. The candidates will have an opportunity to teach approximately 15 fellows who have their weekly continuity clinic at the VA. He/She will also conduct research in close collaboration with many of the McGuire Cancer Center's physician-scientists and clinical-investigators. Qualified candidates interested in a leadership position will have the opportunity to assist with a large fellowship program's administration and coordination.
