Assistant, Associate, Full Professor at the University of Florida. The Department of Medicine is seeking applications for a full-time clinician-research track position for the Division of Hematology/Oncology at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor level. This position seeks an ABIM certified (or eligible) clinical trialist with a major interest on innovative multiple myeloma interventional trials to participate in a combined hematologic malignancy/hematopoietic cell transplant and cell therapy program.

The successful candidate will ideally have the training and some experience in developing investigator-initiated clinical trials and interacting with laboratory scientists for translational research. Resources provided are competitive salary, protected time, and the resources of the Cancer Center clinical research office, which provides study coordinators, regulatory support, and biostatistical support. We have a culture that strongly supports conduct of clinical trials and we enter nearly 15% of all new patients to treatment interventional trials. 

Our Heme Malignancy/BMT/Cell Therapy group is a charter core member of the BMTCTN, is one of 12 centers in the LLS Beat AML consortium, and our group conducts a number of first in human trials of autologous transplant combined with tumor RNA-pulsed dendritic cell vaccines for brain tumors using cells manufactured in the cancer center GMP facility. We also care for patients receiving CAR-T therapies. Our program has been FACT accredited since 2000 and has had consistent growth in patient volumes. The successful candidate will have the opportunity and be expected to collaborate in a variety of activities including subspecialty and multidisciplinary cancer clinic at the UF Health main campus, cancer case and research conferences, and clinical trials.

The UF Division of Hematology and Oncology is aligned with, and our faculty are members of, the UF Health Cancer Center, providing novel clinical research, innovative treatments, and compassionate care for individuals facing all types of cancer and hematologic diseases.

Clinical research support is provided by the UF Health Cancer Center Clinical Research Office. Requisite attributes include a commitment to service, good verbal and written communication skills, a strong sense of teamwork, and a desire to train tomorrow’s doctors.

Applicants must be board-certified or board eligible in Medical Oncology and be eligible for a Florida Medical License.
