The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Northwell Health and South Shore University Hospital is seeking a full-time Division Director/Regional Director of Family Planning to join a very active Obstetrics and Gynecologic program located in Suffolk County, New York. 

The qualified candidates must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in OB/GYN and Family Planning and have/qualify for a NYS license. This is the ideal opportunity for an experienced physician to join a well-respected and successful department with an enthusiastic approach in providing a high level of quality care in women’s health. The Division Director of Complex Family Planning will oversee Family Planning for the entire eastern region. The eastern region of Northwell Health includes seven hospitals and expands from central to eastern Long Island (with a population of approx. 2 million people).

Our department has a fully accredited Residency Program for four residents per year. South Shore University Hospital is a member of the Northwell Healthcare System and is also a major academic affiliate of the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. We are very proud of our comprehensive curriculum and cutting-edge clinical and surgical program, as well as our clinical commitment to resident and student training.   

Our department is creating an academic Division of Complex Family Planning. Perspective candidates should have a strong interest in clinical care, program development, research, teaching, and leadership.

South Shore University Hospital is a regional destination for high-quality care on Suffolk County’s south shore. We’re also an important academic teaching center for the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, providing residencies and fellowships in obstetrics and gynecology. We are currently building a new $70 million Women and Infants Pavilion. This new facility will function as a hospital within a hospital, with brand new operating rooms, labor and delivery rooms, neonatal intensive care units, and private patient suites. Our Maternity Center is a hospital within a hospital that provides outstanding care by board-certified subspecialists.

Salary Disclosure

Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125K to $750K, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity. The base compensation range listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
