The Providence Cancer Institute is recruiting for a full-time, fellowship-trained Breast Surgeon or Surgical Oncologist and clinical researcher specializing in breast cancer to join a comprehensive, coordinated team of breast cancer specialists on the Providence St. Vincent Medical Center campus in Portland, Oregon. This position benefits from a built-in referral base of an extensive network of primary care clinics and a large integrated health system that spans 51 hospitals in seven states. In addition to the clinical, instructional and service activities on Providence St. Vincent Medical Center campus, the selected candidate will have the opportunity and resources to participate in ongoing funded clinical and laboratory research programs of the Earle A. Chiles Research Institute in the Robert W. Franz Cancer Center, a division of the Providence Cancer Institute, that are focused on immunotherapy for cancer. The qualified candidate will have the opportunity to join the faculty members at the Earle A. Chiles Research Institute to engage in original translational research, investigator initiated trials and leverage the breadth and depth of the Providence St. Joseph Health Research Network to study cancer at scale.

  • The successful candidate is expected to contribute to the growth of a Breast-focused clinical and translational research effort
