The Cleveland Clinic, a distinguished academic healthcare system, announces its search for Chair of the Ob/Gyn & Women's Health Institute.

Cleveland Clinic's Ob/Gyn & Women's Health Institute is committed to providing world-class care for women of all ages. In 2020, the institute's gynecology program was again ranked No.2 in the nation by U.S. News & World Report, and is the top-ranked program in Ohio. The Ob/Gyn & Women's Health Institute consists of two departments: 1) Obstetrics & Gynecology made up of General Ob/Gyn and Maternal Fetal Medicine and 2) Subspecialty Care for Women's Health made up of 5 Sections: Gynecologic Oncology, Reproductive Endocrinology, Specialized Women's Health, Urogynecology and Medical Gynecology and Minimally Invasive Gynecology (MIGS).

The Obstetrics, Gynecology & Women's Health Institute in 2021 has 161 employed physicians, 29 midwives, and over 400 non-physician support staff including: ultrasound technicians, embryologists, advanced practice providers and nurses. In 2021 the Institute anticipates close to 400,000 patient visits, more than 10,000 deliveries and over 8,500 surgeries distributed over 36 sites, 3 main tertiary care hospitals with Level 3 NICUs and 4 secondary hospitals. The Special Delivery Unit at Main Campus has about 120 deliveries a year.

The Institute's staff participates in resident, fellow, and medical student education at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine. A unique residency training program offers tracking into subspecialty areas. Fellowships are offered in gynecologic oncology, urogynecology/reconstructive pelvic surgery, reproductive endocrinology, and specialized women's health. A new Global Health Research Program allows residents and fellows to participate in research.

Duties and responsibilities of the new Chair will be to provide leadership for the Institute which will include oversight of general operations, organization, fiduciary matters, quality and safety, recruitment, retention and mentoring of medical staff, administrators, educators and researchers. The Chair is responsible for the extremely important academic and research mission of the Institute.

The ideal candidate will be a recognized leader in Women's Health with a record of excellence in clinical support activities, education, and scholarship as well as experience in leadership, administration, mentoring, and program development. The Chair will report directly to the Cleveland Clinic Chief of Staff and will support the strategic mission of the Cleveland Clinic Health System.
