Overview
North Shore Medical Center (NSMC), a member of the prestigious Mass General Brigham health care system and located just 15 miles north of Boston, is seeking a Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The Chair will be the key clinical, strategic, and operational leader for the ongoing operations and development of OB/GYN services at Salem Hospital (Salem, MA).
This position represents an outstanding opportunity for a highly distinguished physician to establish vision, leadership, and strategic direction for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at NSMC. The ideal candidate will be an innovative thinker and have proven clinical and administrative leadership and communication acumen. A minimum of five years of related clinical leadership is required.
Candidates must be board certified in OB/GYN. Further education with an MPH or MBA is preferred but not required. It is expected that the Chair will allocate a portion of his/her time towards administrative duties with the remaining time allocated to clinical services.
An opportunity for an academic appointment is available depending on qualifications.
