We are seeking a hospitalist deeply committed to health equity and global health to join the HEAL Initiative team. This full-time hire will split their time working with the UCSF Division of Hospital Medicine, a Navajo Nation Health Center, and the HEAL Team. The ideal candidate will bring lived experience from an underserved community to the practice and teaching of social medicine. 

The role includes:

  • Direct clinical care in Navajo Nation (20%) 
  • Leadership in medical education at HEAL, an innovative and established Global Health program (20%)
  • Clinical Faculty position at UCSF (60%)

This new position is an incredible opportunity for someone with lived experience from an underrepresented community to combine a clinician educator role with supported time for global health programmatic work through HEAL and direct service work in Navajo Nation.
