Known as the “Gem of the Desert”, La Quinta, California is located in Southern California’s Coachella Valley, just 30 minutes from Palm Springs and 2.5 hours from Greater Los Angeles area. With its small town friendliness, La Quinta is a peaceful and relaxing community. However, it is also a year-round, multi-recreational and destination resort community enjoyed by visitors and residents alike. La Quinta enjoys low humidity combined with an abundant 350+ days of sunshine annually. In La Quinta the “good life” can be found in abundance. It is a great place to live, work, play, or raise a family.

La Quinta’s real estate developments are also newer than most area cities. In the coming years, it is likely that La Quinta will become the new center of the greater Palm Springs area, as development continues eastward toward the Salton Sea.

John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital was founded in 1966 by a group of physicians including Dr. Carreon, who later had one of the hospital's cross streets named in his honor. Originally called Indio Community Hospital, the hospital grew from a 112-bed hospital to the 158-bed JFK Memorial Hospital of today.

JFK Memorial Hospital is part of Tenet, California. Our acute care hospital has provided medical care to residents in the Central/Eastern Coachella Valley since 1966.

The hospital features:

  • Emergency Care 24/7
  • Orthopedic and joint replacement services using emerging technology
  • Sports Medicine Program
  • Cardiovascular services
  • Maternity care and pediatric services
  • Ambulatory surgery center
  • Imaging services
  • Outpatient Rehabilitation Center

JFK Memorial Hospital is fully accredited by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, the nation’s oldest and largest hospital accreditation agency. JFK is the recipient of several prestigious healthcare awards in the last year.
