Tenet Healthcare and Children’s Hospital of Michigan are actively seeking a Developmental/Behavioral Pediatrician for a full-time opportunity in Detroit, MI. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established academic group as they expand to better serve the primary care needs of the children and adolescents living in and around the Metro Detroit area.

Highlights of Our Opportunity:

  • Full-time, employed opportunity – Available Immediately
  • 60% Clinical time, 30% teaching and 10% administrative time – schedule can be modified
  • 6-7 Clinics per week (each clinic is a 4-hour block)
  • Oversight of residents during the Developmental Pediatric rotation
  • Beeper call – shared with General Pediatric Faculty

Our division follows AAP guidelines for developmental screenings at each well child care visit. Our on-site social workers triage and refer patients for autism screenings as well as coordinate our on-site integrated mental health counseling program.

About Our Division:

The General Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine Division at Children’s Hospital of Michigan sees patients from 0-22 years and provides General Pediatric Education for more than 110 pediatric residents from various programs.

We also provide complex specialized care for children with multi-system disorders and management of many chronic illnesses such as asthma, diabetes, seizure disorders, and gastrointestinal diseases in close cooperation with other specialists.

Founded in 1886, Children’s Hospital of Michigan is the first and largest freestanding children’s hospital in the state with more than 40 pediatric sub-specialties and 228 inpatient beds. A proud member of the Detroit Medical Center (DMC), Children’s Hospital of Michigan is also home to a Level I Trauma Center (verified by the American College of Surgeons) as well as one of the few Pediatric Burn Centers in the nation (verified by the American Burn Association).

Candidate Requirements:

Candidates must be board certified with the American Board of Pediatrics with board eligibility qualification in Developmental Pediatrics. Must be eligible to obtain licensure in the state of Michigan.
