Abrazo Medical Group is actively seeking a dynamic Board-Certified Family Physician to join the Abrazo Family Medicine Residency Program as a Core Faculty member at the Abrazo Central Campus in Phoenix, AZ.

The Abrazo Family Medicine Residency Program is a community-based program affiliated with Midwestern University and the University of Arizona. We have been in the community for over 40 years and are the only residency program at Abrazo Central Campus with a total of 21 residents.

We are looking for candidates who share our philosophy of serving the community and supporting our academic mission.

Overview of Responsibilities:

This is a full-time faculty opportunity and physicians are expected to see patients as they reasonably present in the practice site and in an inpatient setting. In addition, physicians will participate in joint activities of select organizations relating to integration and coordinating of post-graduate medical education as well as ACGME accreditation requirements and activities.

This position requires direct patient care responsibilities (30%), resident and medical student teaching, precepting, and curriculum development (50%), along with administrative and scholarly activities (20%). Night and weekend call are required.

Candidate Requirements:

  • MD or DO
  • Must be Board Certified with the American Board of Family Medicine
  • Active Arizona license or eligibility to obtain licensure in the State of Arizona
  • Spanish speaking skills are a plus but not required

Special consideration for candidates who bring unique experience to the team or have an interest and training in sports medicine, academic medicine, research, geriatrics, women’s health, hospitalist work, integrative medicine, and care for the underserved.
