The Department of Surgery at Indiana University is seeking applications for a full-time academic burn surgeon to join our Division of Plastic Surgery. The Division currently includes 14 faculty members who provide a broad array of services in order to provide the highest quality care for patients. Academic appointment and salary are commensurate with candidate's experience.

The burn programs at Eskenazi and Riley Hospitals are nationally recognized and verified by the American Burn Association. The burn program features state-of-the-art resources and support for providing excellence in clinical care to both pediatric and adult patients.

Educational Requirements

Prospective candidates must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in General Surgery or Plastic Surgery with substantial burn experience with burn fellowship training required. In addition, being Board Certified/Board Eligible in Surgical Critical Care is considered a strength. Chosen candidates must either have a current Indiana Medical License or be eligible for application.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal applicant will have a focused and demonstrated interest in burn surgery and managing critically ill burn patients. Candidates may be at the assistant, associate or full professor rank. Responsibilities will include providing patient care, supervising residents and fellows, and sharing call on the burn service. This position also includes the potential for professional development through teaching and/or research.
