THE SECTION OF PULMONARY, CRITICAL CARE AND SLEEP MEDICINE IS SEEKING OUTSTANDING INDIVIDUALS FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITION:

FELLOWSHIP DIRECTOR

Yale School of Medicine, Section of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine (Yale-PCCSM), is looking to hire a candidate at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor for the position as Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine (PCCM) fellowship program director. The candidate must be a board certified PCCM physician with at least 5 years since completion of training. In addition to outstanding clinical and teaching skills, the ideal candidate is expected to demonstrate a track record of success as leader, educator, and team member with a proven previous experience in medical education. The candidate should maintain a climate conducive to education; should oversee and ensure the quality of training at all sites; should shape the program consistent with the needs of the community, the mission of the fellowship program, the university and the health system and should foster research activity; all with a focus on diversity, inclusion, wellness and clinical excellence. The candidate will work in partnership with multiple stakeholders to create innovative experiences to train the next generation of academic pulmonary and critical care physician leaders. The program director will have protected time dedicated to administrative tasks related to the fellowship. Responsibilities include curriculum development, fellow recruitment and selection, evaluation and promotion of fellows, oversight of scheduling and operational logistics. This is an exciting time to join the Yale fellowship program as it had unprecedented growth and success in recent years. This ladder-track CE faculty position requires participation in research, educational and clinical activities as well as the ability to provide attending coverage of the medical intensive care unit, outpatient and inpatient services.
