Baystate Health, western Massachusetts’ premier healthcare provider and home to the University of Massachusetts Medical School – Baystate, is seeking a Psychiatrist to join our Emergency Psychiatry team in western Massachusetts.

Position Highlights:

•Clinical practice: Evaluate and stabilize patients with psychiatric emergencies at Baystate Medical Center, level 1 trauma center, in Springfield, MA. Provide treatment and care coordination for patients with prolonged Emergency Department stays and clinical services on a 6 bed psychiatric observation unit.

•Support: Join our well established division psychiatrist and Advanced Practitioners.

Located in Springfield, MA, Baystate Medical Center (BMC) is Baystate Health’s flagship hospital. BMC is a 716-bed, independent academic medical center and a training site for the University of Massachusetts Medical School - Baystate. We offer over 30 residency and fellowship programs and have recently launched our new University of Massachusetts Medical School - Baystate regional medical school campus. BMC is a major referral care center and the only Level 1 trauma center and pediatric trauma center in the area.
