Emergency Medicine Physician

West Florida Hospital and Teamhealth are looking for full-time emergency medicine physicians to join our growing Emergency Medicine team with West Florida Hospital in Pensacola, Florida. Our emergency physicians staff West Florida Adult, Perdido Bay freestanding emergency department (FSED) and a future FSED scheduled to open summer 2021. The ED at West Florida Hospital sees an annual patient volume of over 60,000. There are 39 beds, which includes a separate Pediatric ED. There is daily advanced practice clinician coverage. The admission rate is over 25% and the EMR is Meditech. Perdido Bay FSED sees over 10,000 patients annually. There is 11 private beds and a dedicated trauma room. There is 24 hours of MD coverage and daily advanced practice clinician coverage. Full-diagnostic imaging is offered, including CT scan. The EMR utilized is Meditech. West Florida Hospital was named one of the nation's 100 Top Hospitals in 2015.It is the first hospital in the area to offer all private rooms.This 306-bed facility also has a separate Pediatric ER that is solely dedicated to treating the emergency healthcare of infants, children and adolescents. The adult ED has specially trained staff includes specialty trained emergency medicine physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, technicians and health unit coordinators.In addition, West Florida Hospital also offers Senior Emergency Services for Geriatric Patients and their families.
