The Department of Laboratory Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic is recruiting a full-time academic Transfusion Medicine physician to join our current group of four Transfusion Medicine physicians. Candidates must be certified in CP or combined AP/CP by the American Board of Pathology, and be board certified in Transfusion Medicine. The successful candidate will participate in our growing Transfusion Medicine/Blood Bank services provided at the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus and Regional Hospitals.

The Section of Transfusion Medicine is a dynamic, collaborative group focused on clinical patient care. We support a range of clinical services, including cardiothoracic surgery, organ transplantation, hematology-oncology, obstetrics and pediatrics. The Main Campus Blood Bank processes a large volume of samples each day, and serves as a reference center for the regional blood banks. The Progenitor Cell Processing Laboratory provides services for autologous and allogeneic stem cell transplantation, as well as for novel cellular therapy procedures.

We support ACGME-accredited Pathology residency and Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine fellowship programs. The successful candidate will have ample opportunities for teaching of students, residents, fellows, and allied health professionals, and for clinical research. Academic faculty appointment in the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University is available at a level commensurate with the candidate's experience and accomplishments.
