Searching for a Heart Failure Cardiologist
The Division of Cardiology of Albany Medical College is searching for a heart failure cardiologist to join our heart failure program. Candidates should be clinically oriented but possess sufficient research experience and teaching prowess to be eligible for academic appointment. Formal training and/or equivalent clinical practice experience in the area of advanced heart failure, mechanical circulatory support, and heart transplantation is preferred. Leadership assets will be highly valued.
The Albany Medical Center heart failure program boasts the region’s only comprehensive and Joint Commission-certified advanced heart failure services. The program enjoys strong institutional and community support. We embrace a multidisciplinary approach that includes close collaboration with advanced practice providers as well as specialists in cardiac electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, cardiac imaging, and cardiothoracic surgery. Our team offers unique interest and expertise in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and cardiac amyloidosis. Whereas our patients who require heart transplantation are referred to affiliated academic centers in the Northeast, the pre- and post-transplant care of these patients is provided by our team here in Albany.
Albany Medical Center is a non-profit corporation consisting of our large tertiary academic hospital in the city of Albany, multiple regional community hospitals, more than 50 outpatient practice sites, and Albany Medical College, which is one of the oldest private medical schools in the United States. Albany Medical Center is a non-discriminatory AA/EOE employer (minorities and women are encouraged to apply).
