The UConn Health, Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology is seeking a board certified Maternal-Fetal Medicine physician to join the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine as the Division Director/Fellowship Program Director.
  • Academic appointment and compensation will be commensurate with credentials and experience.
  • The division is a tertiary level full spectrum academic maternal-fetal medicine referral practice.
  • Services included high-risk prenatal care and delivery, ultrasound, prenatal diagnosis procedures, antepartum fetal evaluation, in-patient and out-patient consultations, managing a tertiary level regional maternal transport service.
  • Division faculty work with certified genetic counselors and sonographers. The Department has an ACGME certified Ob/Gyn residency and three ACGME accredited fellowships (MFM, MIGS, REI).
  • The candidate should be skilled in obstetrical ultrasound and have interest in research.
The successful candidate will work with the Department chair and UConn Health administrators to manage the clinical, financial and research endeavors of the division. The candidate will also oversee the MFM fellowship program that trains fellows at three sites (UConn Health, Hartford Hospital, Connecticut Children's Medical Center). There is a C-TAGME Program Coordinator who will assist with the director with fellowship program management. The candidate should have interest and experience with mentoring trainees (fellows- 3, residents- 40, medical students). The candidate should have an interest and experience with research (clinical and or laboratory). Two affiliated Ph.D. researchers (Graduate School of Medicine, Jackson Laboratory for Genomic Medicine) are available for research collaboration.

There numerous surrounding towns that provide a wonderful place to raise a family and have outstanding schools. UConn Health is a branch of the University of Connecticut which is home to the UConn Huskies. There is a four-season climate that provides a variety of outdoor activity.
