Shelby Baptist Medical Center is a 252 bed, multispecialty facility located in Alabaster, AL, which is approximately 25 minutes from metro Birmingham. The facility has more than 1,000 employees and offers a comprehensive range of clinical, specialized medical and surgical services.

  • We are seeking a BE/BC Gastroenterologist for a full-time, employed opportunity.
  • Primarily outpatient
  • Clinical work and procedures will be done at Shelby Baptist Medical Center
  • Call is 1:4
  • Very seasoned nursing staff has been with the group for 25 years
  • All subspecialties on site/on call

Candidates must be BE/BC in Gastroenterology with an active Alabama license (or eligibility to obtain one). ERCP training is a plus, but not required.

Shelby Baptist Medical Center is a 252-bed acute care facility in Alabaster, Alabama, one of the fastest growing suburbs in the Birmingham area. Alabaster is located 25 minutes south of downtown Birmingham, and employs over 1,000 employees and approximately 191 affiliated physicians. The hospital offers a comprehensive range of clinical services, including cardiology, obstetrics/gynecology, general surgery, robotic surgery, a bariatrics program, emergency services, orthopedics, neurology, urology, and gastroenterology along with specialized medical and surgical care. In addition, there are several centers on campus that include: cancer, diagnostics, home health, sleep, and vascular surgery.
