The Cleveland Clinic, one of the world's most distinguished academic medical centers, announces a search for a Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist to lead our COG research as the site principal investigator. This position provides the opportunity to work in a highly engaging and collaborative environment with the support and resources of the Pediatric Institute and Taussig Cancer Institute to best care for our pediatric and young adult patients.

The selected candidate will join a vibrant and growing program that currently includes 10 Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologists, 2 Pediatric Neurosurgeons, 1 Pediatric Radiation Oncologist, 21 nurses and nurse practitioners including dedicated disease based care coordinators, providing more than 10,000 patient visits per year. Programs include full hematology/oncology services along with blood and marrow transplantation, neuro-oncology, COG membership, NEXT consortium participation, and an accredited hematology/oncology fellowship program. The department is part of the Pediatric Institute and works in close collaboration with the Taussig Cancer Institute and participates actively as a member of the Case Comprehensive Cancer Center.

We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist at the Assistant, Associate or Professor Level, with academic appointment through the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. This is a full-time clinical faculty position with protected time for COG responsibilities. Our research office is staffed by5 CRAs and research nurse who coordinate for COG as well as other local and collaborative trials in the department. We currently participate in all COG group-wide phase 2/3 studies. As the PI, funded travel is provided to both the spring/fall COG group meetings.

The ideal candidate should have a commitment to supporting collaborative research through the COG, and should be board-certified in pediatric hematology/oncology. Prior involvement with COG or other multi-institutional trials is highly desirable, although not required for a motivated applicant. Clinical focus is flexible depending on interest, with opportunities in leukemia/lymphoma and neuro-oncology, stem cell transplantation, and non-malignant hematology. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with credentials and experience.
