UTMB was established in 1891 as the first academic health center in Texas and is a component of the University of Texas System. Today UTMB includes four schools (medicine, nursing, health professions, and graduate biomedical sciences), a network of hospitals and clinics that provide a full range of primary and specialized medical care, and numerous research facilities.

The UTMB Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine is actively recruiting a Pulmonary Critical Care and a Sleep Medicine Fellow to join our faculty Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. UTMB Health is to dedicated to the prevention and treatment of respiratory diseases, and through our clinical, educational, and research missions. We provide comprehensive diagnosis and management for a broad range of respiratory diseases, offer outstanding clinical care for patients with respiratory disorders, and serve as a resource to regional physicians who share in the care of patients with respiratory diseases. We offer comprehensive outpatient services throughout the area. Our three sleep laboratories are located on the Galveston and Angleton Danbury campuses, with another convenient center in Webster.

Our inpatient services include pulmonary consultations, and critical care services delivered in our medical and surgical intensive care units (ICUs). The department offers broad based expertise in; respiratory diseases, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD; emphysema and chronic bronchitis), lung cancer, lung infections, pulmonary fibrosis, and pulmonary hypertension. Diagnostic services include a comprehensive pulmonary function laboratory, including exercise capability, a modern and well-equipped suite for flexible bronchoscopy, and two sleep laboratories.

Pulmonary Critical Care Faculty Physician must possess an MD or equivalent degree and be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pulmonary Critical Care medicine. The selected candidate(s) will provide patient care at UTMB’s League City campus, ICU department.   

Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine Faculty Physician must possess an MD or equivalent degree and be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pulmonary and Sleep medicine. The selected candidate will provide patient care in the sleep medicine outpatient clinics, conduct sleep study interpretations, and participate in the teaching endeavors of the division. Other responsibilities may be required at the direction of the Division Director.
