The Center for Autoimmune Genomics and Etiology (CAGE) at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center in the Department of Pediatrics of the University of Cincinnati seek candidates for several Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor positions in either the Tenure or non-Tenure tracks. The Center for Autoimmune Genomics and Etiology (CAGE) comprises a basic science Faculty with diverse investigative interests and close affiliations with clinical departments at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. Expertise is required in a specific area of human genomics, and may include expertise in one or more of the following: epigenetics, experimental methods in genomics, computational biology, statistical genetics, population genetics, biomedical informatics, complex genetics, clinical genetics, pharmacogenetics or genomics, functional genomics, structural variation analysis, cancer genetics, rare disease or Mendelian genetics or stet genomic medicine. Applicants must have an MD, an MD & PhD, or a PhD degree. Sophisticated informatic interests and capabilities or experimental sophistication are preferred. An interest in understanding the etiology of idiopathic inflammatory rheumatic diseases would complement existing infrastructure and Faculty interests. Board qualifications in any general specialty (Pediatrics, Medicine, Surgery, Anesthesia) and sub-specialty is preferred for MD applicants.

Research and scholarship responsibilities include developing a highly collaborative and independent research program related to human genomics, supervision of students (undergraduates, medical students, and graduate students), postdoctoral fellows, and research staff; leading and coordinating NIH-funded grant efforts with local, national, and international collaborators; and active leadership in writing grants, reports, and manuscripts.

Applicants must have demonstrated substantial experience in an aspect of human genomics research as detailed above, with a strong publication record and good communication skills. Applicants will be assessed on the basis of their qualifications and upon their capacity to be productive scholars in the context of the Center for Autoimmune Genomics and Etiology (CAGE), the Department of Pediatrics, and the University of Cincinnati.

We seek candidates who embrace and reflect diversity, as broadly understood. Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Minorities, women, the disabled, and protected veterans are encouraged to apply.
