The University of Florida Division of Infectious Diseases and Global Medicine is seeking applications for a full-time, Ast/Aso/Full Professor position on a tenure/non-tenure track, with a focus on transplant infectious diseases. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated faculty member interested in a Transplant Infectious Diseases career path and helping grow the Transplant Infectious Disease Program to support UF Health Shands Transplant Center. The applicant will be expected to cover transplant and general ID clinical services and contribute to the Division’s teaching mission as it relates to students, residents, and fellows, with the option for VA 8ths. Effort for clinical and translational research projects will be appropriately protected if applicable. Applicants should be board-certified or board-eligible in Infectious Diseases. Additional fellowship training in Transplant Infectious Diseases is preferred.

This faculty position may be based at our University teaching hospital or at our immediately adjacent VA Hospital, both of which serve a designated shortage area and/or a medically under served area/population.

The Gainesville region has an inexpensive cost of living, nationally ranked middle and high schools, and superb weather, with multiple year-round recreational opportunities including biking, hiking, kayaking, snorkeling, and cave diving.
