Northwell Health Cancer Institute is seeking a board certified System Chief of Breast Surgery Center to join our growing multidisciplinary program. The ideal candidate will have an interest and proven track record of at least five years of experience as an academic breast surgeon. The chosen candidate will be expected to work to grow surgical volume through referral networking, develop academic activities, and work closely with the leadership team in medical oncology, radiation oncology, reconstructive surgery, and genetics. Preference will be given to individuals who bring unique skills, interests, or qualifications to the current faculty in a complementary fashion. Individuals with a strong interest in research are encouraged to apply.

Northwell Health treats more than 16,000 patients with cancer annually, and offers patients access to the services of more than 200 Cancer Institute physicians in more than 25 sub-specialties throughout the greater New York metropolitan region. The Feinstein Institute for Medical Research is home to Northwell Health’s research and is an epicenter for scientific discovery and innovation, including basic science, and clinical research. Northwell Health and Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory have created a strategic partnership to accelerate translational cancer research, diagnosis, and treatment. This collaboration also enhances the potential to bring early phase clinical trials to our patients, in addition to existing offerings of cancer clinical trials to patients throughout the region.

Salary Disclosure

Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125K to $750K, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity. The base compensation range listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
