Job Details

Providence is seeking an experienced physician leader and educator to serve as the Executive Director of Graduate Medical Education across their large integrated health care system. The primary focus of this job is to provide strategic leadership and vision at a system level to all GME programs and sponsoring institutions. The Executive Director will consult and collaborate with Designated Institutional Officials and Program leaders to ensure high accreditation quality, fiscal stewardship, community benefit, graduate retention and alignment with system quality and patient safety initiatives. The ideal candidate is an Internal Medicine or Family Medicine trained physician leader with experience serving in a regional DIO capacity. Experience must include preparing and managing complex GME program budgets, navigating and adhering to ACGME processes and standards, as well as successful implementation of change processes. This Executive Director position is an outstanding opportunity to lead and promote the collaboration of Providence's growing Graduate Medical Education programs throughout our seven state footprint.
