The Heart and Vascular Center and the Department of Medicine of Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC), and The Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth, are seeking a BC/BE Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiologist. The candidate will work primarily on the Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiomyopathy Service, an academic heart failure program. The candidate will have the option to attend 2-4 weeks per year at Tufts Medical Center, our partner transplant center. Experience with ventricular assist devices, as well as temporary mechano-circulatory support is required.

The Dartmouth-Hitchcock Heart and Vascular Center is in the initial phases of developing its own VAD program of which the candidate will have a key role in developing and managing. The candidate will also be expected to play a key role in the Cardiogenic Shock team. Additional responsibilities include an active role in the cardiac intensive care unit and inpatient services, outpatient medicine, teaching, and clinical research. The successful candidate will join an academic practice with 30 full time cardiologists, clinical and research fellows, and boasts state-of-the-art research programs.

This position holds an academic title at the Geisel School of Medicine commensurate with experience and academic portfolio. An adjunct appointment at Tufts Medical School is also available if the candidate chooses to attend on the cardiomyopathy/cardiac transplant service there.
