Emergency Medicine Physician

Provide safe, high-quality patient care as a full-time physician working on our emergency department (ED) team at Parrish Medical Center. TeamHealth is seeking an outstanding, residency-trained emergency medicine physician for this beautiful community hospital located outside of Orlando. Candidates must be trained in emergency medicine and BP/BC by AOBEM or ABEM. This is a well-established and friendly team of nurses and physicians. The 14-bed ED receives a 46,000 annual volume. There is a six-bed fast track and a six-bed clinical decision unit. Enjoy double physician coverage with mid-level providers five days a week (9 hour shifts) 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. Nine, ten and eleven hour shifts are available (7 a.m. to 4 p.m., 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., 4 p.m. to 12 p.m., and 9 p.m. to 7 a.m.). There are medical scribes, Medi tech systems, low trauma and the admission rate is 25%. 60% Internal Medicine/ 15- 20% Pediatrics. Founded in 1958, Parrish Medical Center is a state-of-the art 210-bed acute care hospital built in 2002. This facility includes excellent back-up medical staff in all specialties, with 144 active physicians on hand. Parrish Medical Center is fully equipped with a Cardiac Cath Lab, Same-Day Surgery Services, Cancer Care, Emergency Medicine and an award-winning Pain Management Center. The facility is well-recognized for providing world-class care; in 2018, Parrish Medical Center received the first-ever Patient Safety Five-Star Hospital ranking from the Patient Safety Movement Foundation. It was also the first organization in the nation to achieve Integrated Care Certification from the Joint Commission in 2016.
