About Rutgers Health: The Rutgers University Board of Governors, in 2016, authorized the creation of Rutgers Health as an innovative, statewide academic health care provider organization to revolutionize patient care across New Jersey. When formed, Rutgers Health became one of the first academic health care provider organizations in the nation to integrate a full range of health-related specialties – including medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, and clinical psychology – as well as more traditional fields such as neurology, surgery, cardiology, and oncology. Rutgers Health brings together the clinical activities under one umbrella of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, that are provided through our medical and health professions schools, centers, institutes, and practices. Our staff includes some of the world’s most respected educators, researchers, and medical professionals. We are at the forefront of health care with our combination of medical expertise, research, and education, delivered by our skilled providers with compassionate care.As the people of New Jersey continue to navigate an ever-evolving health care landscape, we’re evolving, too. The depth of Rutgers University’s academic strength and expertise means Rutgers Health stands ready to meet the challenges of that landscape, and transform health care in New Jersey for the 21st century. As the state's sole academic health care provider organization, we lead by emphasizing approaches to health and wellness that fully engage patients. The innovative methods we embrace for treating illness and injury are taught in our schools; the time spent developing these methods and ensuring their success is rivaled only by our commitment to provide patients with the tools to achieve better health. Our staff consists of leading physicians and health professionals, including dentists, nurses, psychologists, pharmacists, and other allied health providers—whose observations and expertise influence our collaborative approach to patient care. The presence of so many viewpoints, together with opportunities to improve on these perspectives, ensures that we put patients first. Rutgers Health is fully immersed in the patient care of today, and the treatment advances of tomorrow. We’re taking health care to new heights in New Jersey, as we deliver exceptional care to patients and their families throughout the state.
