Title: Professional Staff Interventional Cardiologist

Duties: The Professional Staff Interventional Cardiologist at Partners Physician Group specializes in interventional cardiology and is responsible for providing cardiovascular medicine services at the Akron General Hospital located at 1 Akron Drive, Akron, OH 44307. Those in this position consult with patients to learn about their medical history and symptoms, conduct diagnostic tests to determine the cause and nature of their disease, and utilize catheters to examine structural and ischemic disease. Further, he or she will interpret test results and explain findings to patients, advise on potential treatment options, and prescribe medication as necessary. Additional responsibilities to include: conduct noninvasive procedures; perform cardiac surgeries; maintain outpatient call schedule; and perform echo cardiology, stress testing, cardioversions, cardiac catherization, and other relevant procedures. On-call responsibilities as needed.

Requirements: Position requires: MD or foreign equivalent as determined by credentials evaluation or as evidenced by an ECFMG certificate, completion of a three (3) year Internal Medicine Residency, completion of a three (3) year Fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease, Board Eligibility or Certification in Cardiovascular Disease, and eligibility for Ohio medical licensure.

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience ($550,000.00)
