UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA SEEKING GENERAL INTERNIST
The University of Florida Department of Medicine is seeking physician applicants for a full-time, Ast/Aso/Full Professor clinical position within the Division of General Internal Medicine. The successful candidate will practice as part of an academic group practice caring for a personal panel of patients, as well as teaching and supervising medical students and residents in both ambulatory and inpatient settings.
Requisite attributes include a commitment to service, a strong sense of teamwork, and a desire to train tomorrow’s doctors. Applicants should have a record of distinguished accomplishments and proficiency in clinical duties, administration, and clinical investigation, including mentoring new physicians, fostering a progressive and dynamic work environment, and promoting teaching and research.
Applicants must be board-certified or board eligible and eligible for a Florida Medical License.
The UF Division of General Internal Medicine is comprised of 40 faculty members and advanced practitioners who work together to provide comprehensive adult care at more than 50,000 ambulatory visits and 10,000 hospital encounters annually. The Division manages three modern, and highly resourced, outpatient practices located in Gainesville, Florida. Each practice is linked to the same electronic health record as our UF Health Shands hospital system; and a highly regarded ambulatory care scribe program is offered for all faculty. The Division places significant emphasis on its innovative faculty career development program, which prioritizes faculty retention, well-being, and advancement in academic medicine, education, and collaborative research.
