Excellent opportunity to join an established and successful two-physician Hematology and Oncology practice in Modesto, CA. Practice affiliated with newly built Comprehensive Cancer Center which staffs a Radiation Oncologist plus ancillary and support staff. The desired candidate will be comfortable with community outreach and educational presentations, be able to manage and direct staff, and contribute to the improvement of services. This position offers long-term career potential where you will have the opportunity to leave your professional mark and make a real impact in the community.
- M-F 8-5
- Call is every third weekend
- Very busy practice - the new person will be busy from day 1
- Plenty of office space and full staff
- Chemotherapy is done in the office, everything else is sent to the Hospital
- Position could evolve into a partnership
- Benefits are negotiable, malpractice is included
- 3 Weeks vacation plus 1 week CME
Doctors Hospital of Modesto was opened on July 7, 1962, by a group of local physicians. In 1979, to better reflect its full scope of services, Doctors Hospital of Modesto was renamed Doctors Medical Center.
A $72 million expansion allows Doctors Medical Center to meet the growing health care needs in the areas of trauma, cardiology, high-risk obstetrics, neonatal intensive care, neurology, and oncology.
Today, Doctors Medical Center has established itself in the Central Valley as a provider of quality medical care and treatment.
The 465-bed, multispecialty hospital is part of Tenet HealthSystem, a nationwide provider of health care services. Doctors Medical Center is fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, is licensed by the state of California and is an approved provider of benefits for many insurance plans in addition to Medicare and Medi-Cal.
